Woodstock, VT

Equipment Operator - The Equipment Operator requires the ability and knowledge to safely operate tractors, chippers, winches and other field equipment.  In addition, the Equipment Operator must have demonstrated ability in vehicle maintenance, defensive driving skills, and trailer towing/set up and mounting equipment skills.  The Advanced Equipment Operator will demonstrate advanced skills in equipment operation. Both levels of Equipment Operator must attain certification in Basic Tree Care Safety.

Chain Saw Operator (Beginner) – The Chainsaw Operator (Beginner) must be a mature, hard-working team player capable of working outdoors every day. The Chainsaw Operator (Beginner) reports to the Land Enhancement Crew Leader and must become certified in Basic Tree Care Safety and Beginner Chainsaw/Equipment Operation training.

 

Chain Saw Operator (Advanced) – The Chainsaw Operator (Advanced) must be a mature, hard-working team player capable of working outdoors every day. The Chainsaw Operator (Advanced) requires good judgment and quick, intelligent decisions in dealing with hazards as they arise. The Chainsaw Operator (Advanced) must be proficient in all responsibilities detailed in the Chainsaw Operator (Beginner) job description and must also demonstrate the following: six point felling plan; bore cutting; large tree take down; notch, hinge and back cut; crew operating procedures; drop cutting; hazard tree identification; storm work knowledge; and has the ability to measure and cut logs to desired specifications. The Chainsaw Operator (Advanced) reports to the Land Enhancement Crew Leader and must become certified in Basic Tree Care Safety, Beginner Chainsaw/ Equipment Operation and Advanced Chainsaw/ Equipment Operation training.

Vegetation Control Technicians (Seasonal) – The Vegetation Control Technician is an entry-level seasonal position and requires the demonstrated ability to safely operate and maintain a whip/clearing saw.  The Vegetation Control Technician must attain certification in Basic Tree Care Safety, and reports to the Land Enhancement Crew Leader.


Lebanon and Meredith, NH

Arborist Climber - The Arborist Climber is a highly skilled professional in the practice of the management and maintenance of trees. The Arborist Climber requires the ability to perform tree pruning techniques of trees and shrubs including advanced techniques required to prune and remove trees near obstacles and in high-risk situations. The Arborist Climber will perform all general tree care according to ANSI standards, with minimal or no supervision and have full knowledge of how PPE and tree work equipment (e.g., chain saws, pole and hand saws, chippers, pole pruners, saddles, ropes, etc.) is used to complete work in the safest way possible. The Arborist Climber will also assist the ground crew with all jobs including removing debris, chip brush, and on-site clean up after each job. The Arborist Climber reports to the Arborist Crew Leader.

Arborist Ground Operations Specialist - The Arborist Ground Operations Specialist is an entry-level position responsible for all groundwork, including the operation of various pieces of power equipment, removing debris, chipping brush, traffic control, assisting and working with Tree Climbers, and site clean up after each job. The Arborist Ground Operations Specialist has a desire to learn the practice of the management and maintenance of trees and progress towards becoming a skilled Arborist. The Arborist Ground Operations Specialist reports to the Arborist Crew Leader.

Landscape Technician (Seasonal) – The Landscape Technician is an entry-level seasonal position with planting experience and knowledge of native and ornamental species a plus. The Landscape Technician must have a strong work ethic and good eye for aesthetics.

Plant Health Care (PHC) Technician - The PHC Technician is responsible for routine pest-management operations including spraying, and has an understanding of both plant and pest identification and pest control. The PHC Technician provides superior customer service through regular property monitoring, evaluations, and landscape treatments. The PHC Technician must be able to work independently, while following company policies and safety guidelines. The Plant Health Technician reports to the PHC & Landscape Manager.
