We are not just a tree care company: we are the premier providers of a wide range of green care services, including everything to do with trees, shrubs, landscaping, woodlands, turf care, soil enrichment, and plant health care. If it’s something green and growing outside your door, we have something to do with it, or we will make a referral to a professional we trust! But, there is one thing we don’t do: we don’t sell 'chippers'…. top ^
There are almost 20,000 tree care firms in the U.S. but we are one of the 121 of those companies who are accredited by the Tree Care Industry Association (as of 2009 there are only a total of four companies accredited in VT and six in NH). We also have an A+ Rating with the New Hampshire Better Business Bureau as an accredited business. We have eleven ISA Certified Arborists on staff, many with arboricultural bachelor’s degrees, and many more with associate’s degrees.
We also hire only the best employees – honest, hard working, courteous and passionate about the outdoors and the work we do for our clients. Every single one of our employees, from the office staff to the field crews to management, is challenged everyday to exceed our clients' expectations.
And finally, we do what we say we are going to do, when we say we are going to do it, backed up by a personal guarantee from our founder and owner, Will Russell. To hear more of the story directly from our satisfied clients, please read the testimonials found in the right hand column of the various pages under Green Services. We are also able to provide references for our work: please email trees@chippersinc.com for more information. top ^

Arborists are trained professionals who are knowledgeable and equipped to provide proper tree care. They are specially trained to provide a variety to services to maintain trees and shrubs.
ISA Certified Arborists are individuals who have achieved a level of knowledge in the art and science of tree care through at least three years of experience and having passed a comprehensive examination. They are also required to continue their education in order to maintain their certification, ensuring their knowledge is updated on the latest arboriculture techniques.
All of our Sales Consultants and Managers are ISA Certified Arborists and several have more advanced training.

We are licensed in both NH & VT to utilize a wide variety of products, most of which are available to you at the local hardware store. However, as a business, we are held to a higher standard since we typically treat more landscapes in a year than you do! Our extensive background provides a distinct advantage by allowing us to research the best possible products for use each year, upgrading whenever possible to increase effectiveness and lower risk.
Natural and organic treatments are more requested than ever by our clients, but even some of these products are considered pesticides, and therefore licensing is always required. We have both operational and supervisory level license holders who research and compare the best possible products to be used in a given situation, always taking into account client preferences for effectiveness and safety. Our applicators must attend ongoing continuing education, assuring that you receive the most professional service available. For more information, please visit the website of the licensing agency for either Vermont or New Hampshire. top ^
Fabulous. We’ll help you keep them that way. We also offer insect and disease control, turf and soil care, landscaping and other services related to enhancing the financial and aesthetic value of your property. top ^
Estimating green care services requires specialized training to properly consider the many variables. As much as we would like to give you a “ballpark” cost for services over the phone it’s nearly impossible to provide a realistic estimate without a site visit. The one exception to the rule applies to turf where we are able to give broad estimates based on acres or lawn size. However, to accurately diagnose any landscape issue in terms of a treatment plan requires a site visit.
Thus, our professional consultants are specifically trained to evaluate the considerations involved when estimating tree care services and frequently will be able to conduct a site visit within 48 hours of your call. We pride ourselves in providing our clients with high quality, personal service. top ^
The decision is entirely up to you. Many clients prefer to be present for the initial site visit to personally meet the consultant as this is a valuable time to discuss all your questions, concerns, and to present your goals for the project. We make every effort to accommodate your schedule in order to meet with you or to perform the work during a mutually convenient time. top ^
One of the stringent requirements associated with our TCIA Accreditation is that we maintain above average insurance coverage for property, vehicles, liability, and worker’s compensation. Contact our Woodstock, Vermont headquarters for more information. top ^
The type of equipment used will vary greatly from project to project. The arborist or forester providing the proposal to you will bring any concerns for your turf or surrounding landscape to your attention in the proposal. We make every effort to minimize damage or trauma to your property, and most clients are pleasantly surprised by our attention to the details of cleaning up your property after the job is finished. However, there may be conditions under which the equipment does leave impressions in the turf. top ^
Most insects prefer heat, which generally means open, sunny locations in your lawn. The weather also plays a big role in what pest is a problem in a given year. During wet summers chinch bugs are a nuisance. In other years, grubs will destroy turf roots from small patches to large expanses. The best defense is to have your lawn checked periodically by a professional, especially if you are having the lawn treated. Applying products is not always necessary or needed. Some applications can prevent the problem, while others can cure the situation once it is noticed or becomes a threat to turf loss.
