Tree and Shrub Planting & Transplanting

Tree & Shrub Selection & Planting

Our ISA Certified Arborist thoroughly examines your site and recommends plantings based on your preferences (shade, wildlife attraction, or aesthetics) and location, microclimate, soil type, etc. Delivery, installation, aftercare instructions, and a planting guarantee are included.

We also recommend the tree selection guide sponsored by the USDA Forest Service. And the University of Connecticut has a really nice Plant Database.

Download a pdf from the NH Cooperative Extension: Your Guide to Planting and Mulching Trees and Shrubs.

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center has a comprehensive database of VT and NH native trees and shrubs.  See our Spring 2009 GreenWords newsletter for some of our arborist's favorites.

We avoid planting invasive species of trees and shrubs and make recommendations for alternatives.  Visit The Nature Conservancy online for more information on invasives.

We always follow the The National Arbor Day Foundation guidelines of 'putting the right tree in the right place.'
