Saluting Branches

Saluting Branches is an annual national event where arborists from local tree care companies come together to honor veterans by volunteering their skills to keep our veterans cemeteries safe, beautiful places for all those who visit.

The fifth annual event for New Hampshire was held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on September 18, 2019. Over 55 volunteers from 5 tree care companies and 2 utility companies removed 3 trees, pruned over 30, planted 2, ground stumps, airspaded and fertilized many stressed trees.

Special thanks to Tim Bergquist, Chippers’ Meredith NH Branch Manager, for being the event’s Site Coordinator and to our crew of Wes Boynton, Blake Duval, Larry Fay, Nick Galambos, Nick Lyford, Ben Sanborn, Norm Savoie and Tanner Violette.

Tree work donated by ACRT, Asplundh, Bartlett, Chippers, Seacoast and Eversource Energy, NH Electric Co-op. Food and water for the volunteers were provided by UniTel and Beauregard Equipment. And thanks for the support from The Meredith Rotary Club and TCIA.

And most of all, thank you to the men and women who serve and have served for our country.
