Chippers Renews Elite Tree Care Industry Accreditation

Accreditation. It’s a long word with an important meaning for professionals in many industries: the action or process of officially recognizing someone as having a particular status or being qualified to perform a particular activity.

We at Chippers Inc. have recently renewed our 3-year residential/commercial accreditation for our locations in Woodstock, VT and Enfield & Meredith, NH in accordance with tree care company accreditation standards put forth by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA). TCIA is America’s oldest and most respected tree care trade association. Accredited companies must re-apply every three years so the TCIA can verify that we continue to meet the standards of the accreditation and employ best business practices. Chippers has been accredited since 2008, the first to be so in VT and fourth in NH.

TCIA Accreditation is the only program of its kind in the tree care industry. The process evaluated our business to ensure that professional practices and standards are met in every department and at every level of the company. The talented and hard working team members of Chippers are extremely proud to be recognized as the best of the best in our industry.

During the application process, an independent auditor checked Chippers for proper insurance, applicable licenses, reliable and ethical customer service practices, and strict operating standards. We also had to demonstrate evidence of formal employee training, adherence to safety and quality standards, compliance with industry standards, and employment of best business practices.

As stated by our VP of Operations John Keefe, “the auditor was very impressed with Chippers as a whole, each facility’s appearance, our morning meetings, our people, and the skills he observed from our crews in the field. In his words, we are a model TCIA accredited tree company. We have skilled people who are dedicated to doing our jobs safely, professionally, with a good attitude, and striving to improve every day.”

As a measure of protection to consumers, our tree care business undergoes annual renewal check-ups. The annual renewal ensures that we continue to employ trained professionals, we are still properly insured and we have a good safety and consumer satisfaction rating.

The 3-year accreditation achievement demonstrates that Chippers, Inc. has undergone an extensive review of tree care practices as well as a site visit, and adheres to all accreditation standards.

I’m tremendously proud that at Chippers we have cultivated a team spirit that made our great audit results possible. We are committed to providing expert care for our clients, always abiding by the TCIA accreditation core values of ethics, quality and consumer confidence.
