Chippers has also been recognized by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) for two safety awards, in 2017 and 2018, for our I WILL safety program. This award honors tree care companies with proactive programs to address safety issues. Our I WILL safety mantra delivers an important and powerful safety message in a memorable way: “I WILL,” stands for Work safely, Invest in others, Learn from mistakes, Lead by example”. This mantra has special meaning as it honors the memory of our founder Will Russell, who died in 2010. Will lived both personally and professionally by the I WILL mantra.
Two local Chamber of Commerce have recognized Chippers’ contributions to our communities: the 2016 Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce (HACC) Small Business Innovator of Year and the 2014 Woodstock Area Chamber of Commerce Community Business of the Year. The HACC describes this award as an area small business whose integrity and creativity enhanced the vitality of the community.
